Boy how strong has the form of this year's Ebor Handicap at York worked out. The Ebor 2nd, Royal Diamond, travels to Ireland and pulls off the shocker at the Curragh to win the G1 Irish St. Leger yesterday, and today, the Ebor winner, Willing Foe, travels to France, stepped up in trip to 15-1/2f for the first time in his career, and he runs a blinder to finish 3rd behind Ivory Land and Miss Lago in the G3 Prix Gladiateur at Longchamp. I doubt very many handicappers saw the Ebor horses coming out of that race and producing this kind of results in patent stakes company in their very next starts. My guess is that Godolphin will likely make Willing Foe one of their G1 Melbourne Cup entries now that they know for sure he can get the 2 mile trip.
