I was going to bet the good turfer Hitchcock when he came to Hollywood one Summer but I was tipped by a vet that he was a terrible shipper and stayed off him to my relief as he demonstrated that to be true right out there on the course acting up all the way to the gate. · 6 hours ago ·

I like this horse, especially for the Derby because it looks like so many horses are going to the Derby wiith front-ruuing styles, so I don't care if his last win didn't look impressive. If more than half the field races like they need to be on the pace early, there's gonna be a wild wild pace that may benefit "Artie" a lot when the stretch run comes.

I would love to have seen Bradley's Cemetary, which is at Darby Dan. He had a beautiful bronze statue, life size I believe of Black Toney there with his great progeny buried near by. · 21 days ago ·

LazyBettor.com had the winner!
We Miss Artie did range into contention during the Fountain of Youth but could not sustain that run against some of Florida’s top 3-year-olds. “He didn’t really have any excuse that we could find out,” Ramsey said. “He came out of the race OK.” While Ramsey noted that We Miss Artie may not be a Derb...Read More

  • lazybettor · Ramsey is right about We Miss Artie having a shot in the Derby, but not because of his late-running Spiral victory. Like Animal Kingdom he demonstrated turn-key speed the race prior to the Spiral. Read "The Lazy Bettor's Guide to the Kentucky Derby" or go to lazybettor.com. They had the winner! · 23 days ago ·

Good win in the Spiral but seeing him in the Derby makes no sense.

  • kay.robinett · iMac I think that the Ramsey's are planning on running Bobby's kitten in the bluegrass and vicars in trouble in the louisiana derby. Not sure if they are planning any more starts for we miss Artie before the Kentucky derby. In theory they could have three derby horses this year depending on how well the other two run. · 24 days ago ·

  • tmallios1 · No Bluegrass comes up in 3 weeks and then the Derby comes up in 3 weeks after that.Todd already has him in. Now he gets a rest. Ramsey has many more he can run there and so does Todd if he is seeking points. Like last year, with Palace Malice. They ran the horse in the Bluegrass to get the points to enter the Derby. They basically knew he had no shot running in his 3rd race in 5 weeks. But all they wanted was a Derby starter and they got their wish Sanity was finally lassoed and they gave him a 5 week breather into the Belmont. · 24 days ago ·

  • jinlie01 · looks like Solitary Ranger and Almost Famous will be the front runners. Not sure if they can stay the distance. Tamarando is definitely the top contender with his record on synthetic and experience with top prospects from CA. But taking a shot with We Miss Artie (4-1 ML) and Poker Player at decent odds..and adding Smart Cover as a longshot..not sure if he can handle these at this point but worth a small bet and exotics play especially at 20-1 or higher. · 24 days ago ·

  • tmallios1 · I do not like Tamarando,in his last win where he was used hard. The horse regressed on his speed figure. If he were the real deal,he would of gone forward. Sorry Sullivan,he still could win this. Other than 1 or 2 others in the field, this is a bad bunch running for half a Million. · 24 days ago ·
