  • Sullivan · Maybe just how he is standing. I do like his cannons, actually. · 804 days ago

Has been officially retired and will stand at Hill n' Dale in 2014

  • RichChatter · Gotta agree, Northport. I do think some of the injuries we see do warrant a retirement, but there were a few from last year that really irked me. · 945 days ago
  • Sysonby · I think they were wise to retire Violence. I'm wondering what role Winstrol is playing in the early retirements. It has negative effects that get worse the longer it's used, so a racing career for horses on it definitely have a best before date on them. · 945 days ago
I know he's probably retired, but do you think he will recover from his injury, maybe put up for stud in a couple of years?
  • amino998 · Absolutely. · 948 days ago
  • Dressage3295 · I can only hope he doesn't get that many mares. We need injury RESISTANT horses- not all these two/three year olds going off to stud. · 948 days ago

Has he been retired?! Please say no.!
Violence is for sure retired?
How in the world or true sportsmanship could one retired a horse with such a encouraging pp
  • travel_vic · You don't come back from seasmoids. Their blood supply is so poor as to never risk the horse again should they survive this and that mechanism holds up the entire hoof apparatus. · 956 days ago
  • rafirox · "like" on tv's comment. · 955 days ago
I said goodbye to a future champion to soon in his career. He was my pick for the derby. I was confident he was going to win. Good luck Violence! Get well soon!
what a shame with that injury even if he did come back it woudl be at least a year if not 18 months. his connections will let let him heal properly he'll love it in versailles (HEAVEN ON EARTH)

  • Dressage3295 · I actually hope they retire him. No need to see him breakdown on the track. I can't say I would be happy seeing him go to stud though. Just one more stallion passing on the prone to injury bloodlines · 956 days ago
  • hshfarms · There is some discussion on DRF that the track at Gulfstream could be as much to blame as anything. Getting scraped to favor speed, throwing the cushion out the window and watching the immature colts bight the dust... I also really feel that TAP's training has a hand in it. · 956 days ago
i remember his daddy getting beat first time out at turfway park in the 12 hole in a msw.(he ran 2nd) bob frankel liked him so much he bought him after the race and went on to make millions still thinkin of you mr frankel.
Jay Privman ‏@DRFPrivman Violence suffered a fractured right front sesamoid in FOY. No surgery, but racing career in doubt, per Pletcher. #KyDerby

  • zxswordxz · Hi icy..I was also thinking that the 5 make some noise in the FOY because of his pedigree. He have a really good pedigree. · 956 days ago
  • Buckpasser · Too bad. This is a nice horse and while I supported Orb. Violence was quite impressive and I thought he really dug in as Orb came to him and was looking forward to more races between these two. Hopefully Violence will be back. · 956 days ago

I think he put in a very game effort. He did try to battle back.

  • RichChatter · In no specific order I like Flashback, Verrazano, Revolutionary (if I did order it, he may be at top), Palace Malice (I liked his 3rd today), and Uncaptured. And I may even have to throw Purple Egg in there, if he could just get to a race! I hope he does not scratch from the Tampa Bay Derby. · 957 days ago
  • RichChatter · And idk. I just really do not like Violence's stride at all. It just looks awkward to me and I like good strides on a horse. For some reason it drives me crazy. lol · 957 days ago

I like this horse's chances as the go longer.Whats not to like?
I really dont think pletcher will ship violence to prep in California. If he wins the FOY his final prep will be irrelevant points wise. I think he will send him to either Louisiana, or Arkansas...maybe the Blue Grass.
Alltime Horse? Not Yet.
