2012 G1 Prix De Diane(French Oaks) winner, Valyra, was put down yesterday after an accident on the beach at Deauville, France. Aga Khan racing manager George Rimaud said that Valyra was cantering on the beach and suffered a fracture to her off hind femur. Valyra was an unbeaten 3 for 3 and had been considered by most European bookmakers as a 10-1 shot for the Arc De Triomphe.
