  • shores · Other than Valid Appeal being Twice The Appeal's paternal grandsire (through his sire Successful Appeal) and Valid Appeal also being Broad Appeal's maternal grandsire (through her mother, Valid Allure), I don't know.   • arazi · I think all of the Derby synthetic horses have talent (Animal Kingdom, Brilliant Speed, Twinspired, Derby Kitten). But I think what separated AK from the others is he made a sustained middle-move more like a dirt horse. BS and DK sort of picked up the pieces from behind with powerful closes like a Turf horse.
