It will be “East meets West” Saturday afternoon at Saratoga Race Course when Devil May Care and Blind Luck, the top two 3-year-old fillies in the country, face off in the 130th running of the Grade 1, $500,000 Betfair TVG Alabama at 1 ¼ miles.   Coming off a pair of Grade 1 victories in the Mo...Read More
  • medlocke · Save Zenyatta, because it's so hard to think of her as a filly or mare because of her behemoth size and ability. I really believe that Blind Luck is the best filly racing in America right now. As I said, besides Zenyatta. She's also a confirmed late closer who's closing kick has worked very effectively for her in 2010. Devil May Care is also an outstanding 3yr.old filly. But she likes to rate a bit closer to the lead than does Blind Luck. This should be quite an intriguing race. Whether or not Blind Luck's late closing kick can catch the front end speed of Devil May Care? One thing I am convinced of. Blind Luck or Devil May Care, both, could beat Rachel Alexandra based on the form that Rachel has raced with so far in 2010. But I like Blind Luck to just edge out Devil May Care in a very close finish. I think Blind Luck is an outstanding 3yr.old filly with a world of talent. Baring injury or a set-back of any kind? I really think the sky is the limit for this filly. JMO. · 1004 days ago ·

A victory by Tizahit in Saturday’s Grade 1, $500,000 Betfair TVG Alabama would provide the perfect 35th wedding anniversary for her owners Jim and Susan Hill, who could pick up their second triumph in a major race over a six-day span.   Miami Deco gave the Hills their most lucrative triumph to ...Read More
Acting Happy, third in last month’s Grade 1 Betfair TVG Coaching Club American Oaks, put in her final work Monday morning for this weekend’s Grade 1, $500,000, 1 ¼-mile Betfair TVG Alabama. As was the case with the American humorist Mark Twain, the reports of the death of the Remsen Stakes are greatly exaggerated. Then, what about “I came to bury the Remsen, not to praise it.”Read More
I really like this two-year-old filly of Tiznow. Not as brilliant as Folklore, but it progressing into a very fine racer. With the way she ran in the stretch of the Demoiselle, she almost looked like her sire fighting off opponents and not letting anyone get by. Her pedigree suggests two-turn races, and if she continues to mature and develop, she'll be good a contender in the three-year-old filly ranks next year, 2010.
Jim and Susan Hill's TIZAHIT (Tiznow) rallied to the lead in midstretch and drove to a one-length score in Saturday's $200,000 Demoiselle S. (G2) at Aqueduct, registering her first stakes victory in the process. Trained by George Weaver, the juvenile lass completed the 1 1/8-mile test in 1:53 over t...Read More
  • xMystix · Glad to see a Tiznow two-year-old filly do well in a graded stakes event. With the way she ran and especially with her pedigree, Tizahit will be a good racer this coming 2010. · 1267 days ago ·

Buddy's Saint (Saint Liam - Tuzia by Blushing John) inhaled pacesetters Citrus Kid and Homeboykris in the Remsen Stakes (gr. II) at Aqueduct and cruised to a 4 3/4 length win. You'll read that the time wasn't impressive and that he had a perfect setup, but he was loafing pretty good after making the...Read More
Buddy's Saint stamped himself as a legitimate contender for next year's Kentucky Derby with a stylish-looking 4 3/4-length victory in Saturday's Grade 2, $200,000 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct.
