What the Nation is saying about Theyskens' Theory...

For all the entertainment that an evening at the extravagantly floodlit Kempton Park provides on the outskirts of London a charming Wednesday evening, very rarely - traditionally - does it produce a horse with the exceptional quality to progress onwards towards Group class company. Things are changi...Read More
After her neck winning thriller over Theyskens’ Theory in Saturday’s Garden City Stakes (Gr. I), I began to ponder about all of the grey and roan thoroughbreds out there today. • zxswordxz · What a freaking horse....This horse should have never lost the Lade Placid. Too much power. I love the look Castellano give Theysken Theory when he was about to pass it. It was like he was saying, sorry I'm going to pass you and there is nothing you can do. · 944 days ago ·

  • BrianZipse · The QE II is the best, of her age group, plus it always attracts a few Europeans. We may all be a little disappointed that it will be her last race of her year, but this is a filly that will not be retired anytime soon. How would you like to see a more mature Winter Memories running at four and maybe five? · 944 days ago ·

Trapped behind a wall of horses in midstretch, Winter Memories unleashed a breathtaking last-to-first run on the far outside through the final yards to nab Theyskens' Theory at the wire in Saturday's Grade 1, $250,000 Garden City at Belmont Park. Although forwardly placed behind More Than Real throu...Read More

  • BrianAppleton · @medlocke - I think Theysken's Theory has a good chance to hit the board, but I wasn't able to see replays of her races in Europe so I can't say too much about her chances back here. I don't like that she hasn't had a race in the US to "warm up" and is jumping straight into a Grade 1. I'd be surprised to see her win but I do on the other hand agree completely on her breeding...excellent pedigree! · 947 days ago ·

  • medlocke · To my mind, Winter Memories is the class of the American turf fillies. More Than Real ran over her head in last year's BC Juvenile Fillies Turf, and hasn't reproduced anything close to that as a 3yr.old. I believe the Garden City Stakes will come down to a 2-horse affair between Winter Memories and the Brian Meehan trained, Theysken's Theory, who's coming over from the UK for the Garden City. Theysken's Theory tried conventional dirt in last year's BC Juvenile Fillies. But has proven to be far more effective on turf in the UK. She's won 2 of 3 starts so far in 2011. Including the Atalanta Stakes at Newbury last time out. · 947 days ago ·

The daughter of Bernardini scored at Sandown on Saturday, winning the Atlanta Stakes. Beating what was a pretty deep field of primarily older fillies and mares. A field that included such fillies as Strawberrydaiquiri, Heavenly Dawn, Modeyra, and the Mike De Kock trained pair of Raihana and Reem. This was Theysken's Theory's second stakes win of the season. Having won two starts back at York. Theysken's Theory really has begun to come into her own as quite a good turf filly in the UK.
great horse owned by my fantastic uncle
This daughter of Bernardini bolted up under top weight at York today in her 2011 debut to win the sportingbet.com Fillies Stakes. Theysken's Theory has now 3 of 5 lifetime start's, with 1 3rd place finish also. Including this stakes win at York, plus the Superlative Stakes last season at Goodwood. She's been a real class filly on the turf in the UK. Along with the Godolphin colt, Biondetti. The son of Bernardini. Who himself was 4th on the dirt at CD, but has won both of his starts in the UK, plus the G1 Premio Gran Criterium in Italy. Making him Bernardini's first G1 winner. To Honor and Serve has been one of the better Bernardini offspring in America. But both Theysken's Theory and Biondetti are leaps and bounds better than any of Bernardini's American runners. IMO.
Every farm standing a freshman sire hopes in its wildest dreams to have just one of the stallion’s progeny starting in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Her Champion sire is getting winners over all surfaces. Theyskens' Theory is a half sister to Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Stevie Wonderboy. Her dam is a half sister to the Group 2winner Fair Judgment and her second dam Mystical Mood won the Schuylerville.
