Frankie Dettori scores a victory for Al Shaqab Racing in the G2 Coventry Stakes aboard The Wow Signal, the son of former star Coolmore sprinter Starspangledbanner.
  • Sullivan · Not as bad a sire as they thought, I suppose · 738 days ago
  • Northport · They didn't think he was bad, he just wasn't fertile enough. Similar to Al Kazeem. You can't advertise a stallion to the public and have people booking to him when there is a significantly smaller chance of their mare getting in foal. As a private stallion it wouldn't be a problem, but people committing their mares to a stallion then finding out that they will have to rebook elsewhere if they want a better chance of a foal just doesn't make economic sense. He looks to be with a smaller and more patient operation now and has a considerable amount of mares in foal last I heard · 738 days ago
