What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about The Factor...

Before we look ahead to a new racing season, let's take pause to say good-bye and good luck to those that are leaving the track and moving on to their second careersRead More
First foal is a filly.
He made headlines in June as the next mate for super-mare Zenyatta. He again made the headlines as the sire of the $2.6 million Keeneland 2013 Yearling sales topper. What's so great about War Front?Read More

  • jonquil · chelsea.devries.37: He does have a good filly or three, but it seems very telling that while Coolmore is very willing to pay out big bucks for War Front colts, I don't recall seeing them show as much/if any interest in any War Front fillies. Coolmore now has several War Front colts in training. · 208 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · I honestly think MMA will prove better than AF. The strongest feild the latter faced was in the BC and has since then never faced any other real heavy weights. Steered clear of Awesome Maria this year. She is very good and she is fast, but If any horse is to come out of the BCLC with a perfect record, it would be MMA. Faced the absolute best at two, and wasted no time doing the same at three. Her level of competition has been much better. · 569 days ago ·

The Factor, a multiple grade I-winning sprinter by top sire War Front, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky., for the 2013 breeding season. He will stand for a fee of $15,000. Read More
It’s been an eventful year for Bob Baffert. He suffered a heart attack; his 7-year-old son, Bode, had an emergency appendectomy; he ran second in all three Triple Crown races, with two different horses; his father, Bill Sr. died two weeks ago at the age of 88; and he set a career record for Del Mar ...Read More
When it comes to the Breeders Cup you either come in loaded and ready rumble, or you have your one big horse in your one big race. This year there are a couple connections ready to roll into the Breeders Cup with guns a blazing. One of those is the infamous Bob Baffert.Read More

  • Floridaf · Baffert does look to be sitting pretty this year, especially since he has the home track advantage. I'm not sure that he'll win all that he has horses in; I have a few that I like better than his contingent, but he is rather loaded. · 576 days ago ·

  • dani.pugh · It is never a given that you'll win everything. The juvenile has a few nice horses. Turbulent Decent is a very good filly, the sprint division still has some nice horses and the Classic division is as deep as i've ever seen. · 576 days ago ·

  • Mary Z. · I knew Winter Memories could take the Diana, and I love the way she often has that burst of a run, but I think the BC Ladies Turf would have been too much to ask of her last year. Going against older females in the QEII Challenge Cup, she came in fourth at 9f. See how she does in the 10f Flower Bowl, but the BC Ladies turf is 1/8m. longer and Capital Plan awaits in Ca. · 625 days ago ·

  • Floridaf · She came in 4th as a 3 year-old, and she was racing 6 wide on the turn in the QE II. This year she's older and more experienced. I really don't think distance will be an issue for her. Remember, her dam still holds the track record at Keeneland for 1 1/8 mile, and her sire line is impressive. · 625 days ago ·
