Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners sold Tara From The Cape in foal to Bodemeister for $300,000 at the Keeneland November sale. Tara has since given birth to a filly. Stakes winning Tara From the Cape suffered a career-ending injury over the winter while preparing for her 3-year old season. She is in foal to Bodemeister, and her connections plan to sell her at the November Keeneland sale.

  • LAZMANNICK · Sullivan I saw Spinning World when he was bested by Da Hoss in Da Hoss’s first BC Turf Mile win at Woodbine. It was quite a race. Spinning World represented France, but he was actually an American Bred. He won five Group and Grade One races at a mile on turf and would win the BC Turf mile in ’97 in a fast 1.32.77…..Wando was a Canadian Triple Crown winner but he was a cut below the better US horses and won only a single allowance in seven races in the States. As much as he struggled on turf, he did sire a pretty good turf runner in Turallure, who missed a BC Turf Mile win when finishing second by a nose to Court Vision (Goldikova was third). Wando and his stable mate, Mobil, both three and both trained by Michael Keough and owned by Gustav Schickedanz, competed against each other in the Canadian TC Queen’s Plate in 2003 with Wando finish first and Mobil second. I can’t say for sure, but I think the reason that Mobil didn’t contest the final two legs was because he was the second best three year old in the country, a horse that on any given day could beat Wando, and they wanted that TC for Wando so why take the chance? · 542 days ago
  • Sullivan · I've met Turralure and after seeing Wando I can see the resemblance. Thanks for the help, Laz · 542 days ago
I like this filly, she has a lot of potential. She has great pedigree too.
  • rafirox · I remember I had her in the BC Turf Fillies, it hurt when she got passed 200 yds. from the finish. Yes, she has some potential for sure. · 740 days ago
