What the Nation is saying about Tale Of Ekati...

Charles Fipke's Tale of Ekati finished a nose behind Stronach Stables' Harlem Rocker when the horses hit the wire in the Nov. 29 Hill 'n' Dale Cigar Mile (gr. I) at Aqueduct, but was placed first after stewards disqualified Harlem Rocker for interference in the stretch. Read More

  • travel_vic · YOU do not have the views that the steward's have. I have. MANY TIMES, disagreed with their decisions until I saw the apex or front tower shots that the crowd never sees routinely · 35 days ago ·

With one of the more interesting looking Cigar Mile fields just a few days away, I decided to have a little fun with the prestigious, late-season race at Aqueduct. In 24 editions, there have been 23 winners (Congaree won it twice), of the Grade 1 race. Today, I took on the unenviable task of ranking...Read More

  • tmallios1 · I will give you a more recent example. Countess Dianna, who my friend vetted. She was refused to the owners to buy , because of so called obvious issues. He approved her.Not a bad call,if i say so myself. I have been told by many a trainer and vet. The next completely clean race horse you see. That horse will be the first. All of these horses that ran or are running have some sort of story behind them.Just because the public is not privy, does not mean it does not exist. • MichaelPavelick · If I was going to invest in a sire, this is one I would give SERIOUS consdieration. His grand sire is Storm Cat. The nations leading sire from 2002-2007. Tale of Ekati was blooming into a "super horse" in 2008. But lost his "will" with 2 races that caused him physical distress and soreness. I think he was good enough to win the BC mile in 2009, but they had to retire him, because he lost his will to compete. He's a real value, and you can follow him on: http://twitter.com/#!/taleofekati · 1044 days ago ·
  • horsisars · I never was a fan of Tale of Ekati.. just the name. I would not spend my cash on anything linked to him. He was retired because he lost his will to compete... hmmmm. Does not make for a great advertisement. · 1044 days ago ·
