Used to go to the foaling barn at Adena Springs when I was little to groom the broodmares, this one was our favourite! Almost ten years later I was just doing some research on her, and she is half to Chief Bearhart and Explosive Red! When we would spend the winters at Adena Springs South, our house was next to the stallion barn, with a paddock literally in the backyard. It was Explosive Red's paddock, he was 16 at the time, and no longer used for breeding, but he would just hang out and watch us in the backyard and trot after the dogs when they went into his paddock. Very coincidental that that old guy (who was a decent racehorse, winning the G1 Hollywood Derby) was half to one of my favourite broodmares, and I never knew it until now!
