What the Nation is saying about Sugarinthemorning...

Following a stirring stretch-long duel with Sugarinthemorning, Craig Stables’ Home Sweet Aspen emerged victorious by a neck Saturday in Santa Anita’s 55th running of the Grade I, $300,000 Santa Monica Stakes for older fillies and mares at seven furlongs before an on-track crowd of 30,514 on Sunshine...Read More
Team McAnally hopes Sugarinthemorning’s first race in two months will benefit her against La Brea conqueror Teddy’s Promise in Saturday’s Grade I Santa Monica Stakes for fillies and mares, 4 and up, at seven furlongs.  “I thought she ran pretty well last time,” said Dan Landers, an assistant wi...Read More

  • mdracing69 · I have seen this happen multiple times and if you are watching the odds board it is a great opportunity to make some decent money betting to show. There are some players out there that like to make big show wagers (bridge jumpers) on heavy favorites. · 32 days ago ·

I made this post in quotations on a page titled: Turbulent Descent looks for Redemtion in La Brea. Seems like HRN will stop letting people comment on certain articles when the handicapper's selections don't race well. Here's my quote: "I like workouts real close to the race. Sugarinthemorning had a 3f blowout only 2 days ago. Very fresh coming into this race after 2 months off, but 8 workouts since, including a 7 furlong drill (todays distance)."

  • MichaelPavelick · I just tried Brian's suggestion of hitting the top story link, and for the 3rd time it won't come to the homepage. Maybe Brian can bring the story to the homepage? · 32 days ago ·

  • Floridaf · As long as the article remains a 'Top Story,' comments will not bring it to the "What the Horse Racing Nation is talking about' section on the main page. Anyone that wants to read and/or comment on the piece will have to physically go to the article to do so. Once it is no longer a 'Top Story,' then comments will cause it to come to the main page. That's just how the HRN site is set up. · 32 days ago ·

When it comes to running Sugarinthemorning in this Saturday’s Grade I, $300,000 La Brea Stakes, Ron McAnally is taking a realistic approach. “She’s doing well, working good, had a good seven-eighths the other day (1:25.40 on Friday) and a good three-quarters before that,” the 79-year-old Hall of Fam...Read More
