damn drf says strong mandate retired
Strong Mandate has been retired due to a knee chip per DRF. http://live.drf.com/
This is a real shocker to me(kind of joking but not reall) Lukas has confirmed he will not be going to the Preakness and he will "wait until Saratoga" which means the Woody Stephens is also out. Either Wayne has turned over a new leaf or this horse is way out of form and doing horribly since the Arkansas Derby. I was expecting this guy to be in the Preakness or atleast the Woody Stephens if not both .In all seriousness I am happy Wayne is being patient and pumping the breaks on this guy and waiting for Saratoga the site of his biggest victory
on April 22, Strong Mandate worked 4F at Churchill Downs on Fast Dirt in :51.60 b finishing 10/14.
When will Wayne remove the blinkers....same as he did for Will Take Charge?

  • travel_vic · Dragged??? A horse running LAST for most of the first half of the Derby and then on a single jingle of the reins passes the entire field? Wake up READ some actual commentary by people who were actually alive at the TIME of the running and see what happened. His penchant for going directly to the front only happened AFTER the Derby and pulling is what you want a mount to do with that kind of dominance. Read about it via the actual facts for a change. http://www.secretariat.com/past-performances/ · 752 days ago
  • travel_vic · actually Red was on the lead early only 4 times in all his races Preak, Internationalat Arlington, Belmont and Man O'War · 752 days ago

  • https://www.facebook.com/john.karczewski.39 · Ughhh. I thought he would run well today. I thought 9F would be right up his ally and he would improve with added distance. His breeding strongly suggests he could handle 9F but now I don't know what to think. I there is no reason not to try him at 7F again. Maybe the Woody Stephens at Belmont? I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up in the Preakness first though. · 754 days ago
  • tmallios · Sullivan, you see the sheets i send you. This horse is the perfect example of running way to fast to early in his career. Look at the Derby sheets. When he won at Saratoga in the mud,he ran a"0" . That is considered extremely fast. Notice he has not approached those numbers since. Look at Havana, he ran a 1 first out. Then he went to a "0" in the Champagne. Rather than laying him up after those 2 incredible efforts, they shipped him to Cali and allowd him to start from the 11 post. Where has he been. That is the problem with younger horses in todays times. Has nothing to do with bone structure or recovering from Lasix. Because of the incredible purses being offered to the 2 year olds. They are being rushed off their feet. They are never allowed to learn how to run and relax. They are trained super hard from the get go,and the pressure on the gas pedal does not stop til the string snaps. · 754 days ago

No idea why this horse is even considered a threat....he hasn't done anything to merit it
