  • Toasting · Great article, Matt. As far as the HOF goes, Curlin is a lock, and Asmussen is a near-lock. That leaves the eight others essentially vying for two spots. Antley's talent isn't in question, but like fellow nominee Garrett Gomez, his off-track demons may weigh heavy on the minds of voters. On ability, he's a Hall of Famer, but I'm not sure the voters will shut out his habits away from the track. · 40 days ago ·

  • kedez2012 · El Padrino and Union Rags are my top two at the moment, but I'm not sure which is #1. They both took such huge steps in the right direction in their last races--UR finally behaved himself down the lane and EP won a gutsy duel over a dry track. I'll have to wait and see their final preps before making a decision! · 782 days ago ·

  • railbird1 · That long stretch at CD won't hurt his chances either. I think he has a decent shot considering his improving pattern and the increase in distance. Picking this years winner is going to be tough any way you look at it. The main saving grace being the price should be right on whoever you settle on. It will be a fun race to watch with the outcome so up for grabs. That being said a serious wager on this years Derby seems out of the question unless you're just a gambler.
