Go on Lovacres Ranch and look at Street Life's confirmation pick. Beautiful color!!
  • SSilence86 · I always enjoyed him on the track. I hope he has success in his second career. Time to Get Even is a looker too. · 741 days ago
  • RichChatter · Goodness is he is easy on the eyes. · 741 days ago
I thought street life was retired??? Oaklawn Park 3/16/2013 Dirt 5F 1:03.80 Breezing 13/17
  • Floridaf · Street Life was retired. I'm willing to bet the "workout" was a mistake. Just last week, I received a workout notification for Awesome Feather, who is also retired. · 864 days ago
  • Sysonby · There are a couple of horses with very similar names. They sent out a work notice to me a few weeks after he'd retired so very likely they just messed up on the name. · 864 days ago
to many 3 yo. gone we could have had a amazing classic but instead they all got injured. I hope Hansen can make a comeback. This could have been the best horse by Street Sense.
  • cocoa2 · Street Life was by no means and is not by any means a good horse. He can close a little against worse competition. · 1059 days ago
  • sysonby · going to have to agree to disagree, cocoa2, this horse was just starting to develop · 1046 days ago
And another one bites the dust. Street Life has been offically retired.

  • Sysonby · I haven't seen an exact diagnosis. This little guy was one of my favourites, heart-breaking but at least he's alive. · 1062 days ago
  • GypsyRose · I read it was a ruptured ligament. · 1062 days ago
Street Life has been retired. I found out via @DeepCloser twitter.
I hope Street Life turns out okay he was one of my Travers picks but had not push late.
  • rafirox · I included him in an exacta box. Hope he's alright. I think they should point him to the marathon. I think the more distance the better... Or the Turf Classic at 12 furlongs. I think a change to turf would suit the late running Street Life very well. · 1066 days ago
  • Sysonby · I just read on another forum the injury was career-ending, I hope that's not true. Anyone know anything? · 1063 days ago
From HRTV ... Dr. Celeste Kunz, on-call vet for AAEP, said Street Life appeared to be fatigued & favoring his left fore. He is at his barn for evaluation.
He is a late bloomer
Street Life breezed 5f in 1:01.04 (8/21) at Saratoga on 8-14, in preparation for the Travers-G1.
Travers hopeful Street Life breezed 4f in :50.93 (37/39) at Saratoga on 8-9.

Street Life is really rounding into shape for the Travers-G1.
Nice win for him today and drew away quickly.

  • Sysonby · Nice to see him get there, he was incredibly wide on the turn, think Ever So Lucky took them all out, not sure if something was wrong with him. I think this is the first time I've seen Street Life run on an off track. · 1095 days ago
  • Sysonby · Actually, it was Easter Gift that fanned them out so wide · 1095 days ago
Love the stretch running Sreet Life, should start the close a little earlier can't wait to see him at Saratoga!

  • yukichan · I actually had 5 16 who showed up with his game face on. · 1095 days ago
  • Sysonby · I almost feel a little bad for 5/16 -- I think that's the third time Street Life's beaten him. Having said that, 5/16 did run a very nice race today. · 1095 days ago
I love Street Life! I just wish he would move sooner. Because he always finishes strong, but well behind the leaders. The Belmont was the first race i really saw him mature, coming from way last to finish strong in 4th, passing six horses in the final furlong. I hope he keeps improving. Watch out for him.
Ran a pretty good race considering that he was in last for about half of the race and that closers don't usually run well in the Belmont. Watch out for him in the future, I can tell he will be better later on. He has just started to really mature.

  • Horsefan90 · Yeah that would be neat. He has the right running style for it. Not entirely sure on his pedigree though. · 1141 days ago
  • Sysonby · It's actually pretty good for turf · 1141 days ago

This horse will be flying at the end of the Belmont and it will be a battle with I'll Have another, Paynter and this one.

  • icyhotboo · Street Life could contest for fouth in this weak field outside of the top three. · 1146 days ago
  • icyhotboo · Secretariat's last quarter was a 25. in the Belmont. His slowest of the race. The mile went in 1:59.0 · 1146 days ago
