Wins the G2 Royal Lodge Stakes for Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and trainer Mark Johnston. Jockey Kieren Fallon has been saying for sometime now that he really thinks the world of this colt. Very solid juvenile season for Steeler in 2012. Today's win runs his career record to 5-3-2-0 with wins in the listed Stardom Stakes and G2 Royal Lodge Stakes. Plus a 2nd in the G3 Acomb Stakes. Could be seeing this colt at Santa Anita in November I suspect.
