ILuvTurfRacing · P.P.#4 is an excellent draw for So You Think given his high cruising speed and running style. He came into the BC Classic off of a grueling campaign of having just run in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes, the G1 Arc De Triomphe, and the G1 Champion Stakes at Ascot back to back to back before he even came to America for the Classic, and IMO, he was by no means disgraced in the race for a first ever run on conventional dirt. The top international turf horses have run very, very well on the tapeta surface over the past 3 seasons, and I'll expect we'll see So You Think run a much bigger race in the Dubai World Cup than he ran in the BC Classic. Being a natural turf horse, I think he'll adapt to the surface a lot better than he did conventional dirt. I look for Godolphin's Capponi to try and steal this race entirely from the front end just like he did the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge Rd. 3. The field certainly can't afford to let him get away, because he holds the Meydan track record on tapeta for the fastest 10f ever run. I think Game On Dude will have a difficult time overcoming the P.P. #14 draw. That's not a knock at him, because I know what a tenacious competitor he is. But I just think the DWC field is a good bit deeper than the field he faced in the BC Classic. JMO. · 419 days ago ·
