  • Mary Z. · Data Link also ran a much faster "slow" mile at Keeneland last year. I still say that turf was not what I would call firm. · 36 days ago ·

  • AnnaK · Wanted WD, with Silentio and Mr Commons duking it out. Forgot how beautiful Mr Commons is, My God, although he's looking abit more sire like with adulthood. My imagination or was Charlie looking concerned with WD's feet after? Looked preoccupied in the picture and interview with Battaglia. (Hope it's just imagination or nothing) · 36 days ago ·

  • likin sparks · I was kidding about Skyring though he did surprise me by not ending up last, Mr. Commons looked good but hasn't won a race in over a year so I think the connections need to try a different tactic most liking involving distance. · 36 days ago ·

In a desperate finish, Argentine-bred Suggestive Boy, ridden by Joe Talamo, held off the late charge of Silentio and Rafael Bejarano to win Saturday’s Grade I, $300,000 Frank E. Kilroe Mile (turf) by a nose, providing Hall of Fame trainer Ron McAnally with his 700th career win at Santa Anita while g...Read More

My Pick 4 was shot before the races even started, as Race 2 was taken off of the turf, but I went for it anyways and lost immediately. I singled heavy favorite Drift King in the first leg, but after pressing Red Jag throughout, he took the lead around the far turn. Unfortunately for me, he got the l...Read More

This horse is an absolute stunner. Saw him race at Del Mar in Sept. and I was just plain mesmerized when his beautiful form left the Winner's Circle. What a thrilling race today at SA. Congrats, Silentio.
  • Peppermint Paddy · Was the obvious paddock pick from what I saw SA, today. Nice win for baby Mandella; No stopping Rafael when he's hot!!! Told us he was keeping the same goggles on all day - 4 bagger, baby! · 143 days ago ·

  • Mike in SB · Opening day at Santa Anita has always been the start of the new racing year for me and this looks like a good card with a deep Malibu field and the best 3 year old filly My Miss Aurelia in the La Brea. But one thing Santa Anita has to do is get a safe and fair racing surface. Horses that came from off the pace were at a great disadvantage last year, I hope they have figured out a way to make it more fair to all horses , especially with the Breeders Cup there again in 2013. · 144 days ago ·
