ILuvTurfRacing · At her best you certainly can't discount Moonlight Cloud's chances in the BC Mile. But I personally think she might be a bit better in those 6 to 6-1/2f sprints. Her two wins in the G1 Prix Maurice De Gheest over 6-1/2f are arguably two of the best performances of her career. She's a class filly for sure, but I think she'll find trying to beat Excelebration or Wise Dan at 8f a tough row to hoe. · 240 days ago ·

MarcelloMarocco · NOBODY will beat Excelebration. The field he beat in France was MUCH more loaded then who ever shows up for the BC Mile. Is the Mile gonna have what 7-8-9 GR1 winners in it?. Excelebration's form is outstanding, he has run every lick vs Frankel, and vs a loaded field in the Jacque de la Marois. Wise Dan needs everything he has in his tank to get to Excelebration in the lane. JMO. Don't get me wrong Wise dan to me is the best North American miler since Soaring free, or even before him in Da hoss. But wise Dan is no Da Hoss just yet, and Soraing free has the 7furlongs Turf record In America. Gonna be a GREAT race, and with Moonlight cloud shipping in also heck ya!!. · 230 days ago ·

icyhotboo · I wouldn't sell Wise Dan short, this is a fully mature 5 yo who always fires. If he gets beat they'll have to work for it and Excelebration and Wise Dan seem to be pretty close. Bad timing for Excelebration to have to butt heads with Frankel. · 230 days ago ·

medlocke · There's some very talented turf milers lining up for this year's G1 Q.E.II Stakes at Royal-Ascot on Saturday. Some of which we may see at Churchill Downs next month in the BC Mile. I.E., Immortal Verse and Excelebration. But for as good as these horses are. Frankel is just a freak of nature!! Or at least he's proven himself to be at a mile, anyway. Personally, I think the rest of the field are all running for second place money. I really don't expect to ever see Frankel really and truly tested until Sir Henry Cecil stretches him out to middle distances, 10f and beyond, next season. And with that Galileo pedigree, he may not even be tested then? JMO. · 588 days ago ·

medlocke · I think the Q.E.II Stakes field is going to be, by far, the toughest that Frankel has faced at a mile so far this season. Excelebration is a much better horse now than the one that Frankel defeated in the Greenham Stakes and the St James's Palace Stakes earlier in the year. Plus the dynamite French filly, Immortal Verse, who defeated Goldikova in the G1 Prix Jacques Le Marois with a good bit in hand, and she's also won the G1 Coronation Stakes at Ascot back in June. When he's at his best, Dick Turpin has also run very well at Ascot in the past, too. Now all of that said, if Frankel is at his best, he still doesn't get beaten by anyone in this field either. medlocke · Prop's to Turallure for running a great race!! But I personally felt like Courageous Cat ran like the best horse in the race, and was unlucky not have won the Woodbine Mile. I thought Pat Valenzuela needed to be just a little more patient with Courageous Cat than he was, and he would've been home. I thought Valenzuela asked Courageous Cat for run just a little bit sooner than he should have, and it ultimately cost Courageous Cat a win in the Woodbine Mile. But still, I think Courageous Cat has looked really good in both the Shoemaker and Woodbine Mile's this season, and along with Caracortado, IMO, may represent the best chance among the American horses of running a big race against Goldikova in the BC Mile? Don't forget, it was Courageous Cat than ran a strong 2nd to Goldikova at Santa Anita in the 09' BC Mile!! · 612 days ago ·

mshutty · Court Vision has won only one race this year and it was the 2010 edition of the Woodbine Mile. He's another year older and other horses are improving at the right time. I like the Side Glance but Courageous Cat appears to be the one to beat. Turallure and Right One deserve some consideration underneath or even as possible upsetters for the win · 614 days ago ·
