Does anyone know where I can find all the race times at Los Al on 7/5/2014?

  • travel_vic · Trakus: talked again to the tech and was wrong about the city (got it mixed up with where the umpire reviews in major league baseball go: New YOrk and these all go to Boston). Upon asking why that is the answer was "I don't know but they all do and we are in constant phone communication with them there throughout each card. Even if the signal comes from Anita or Belmont, it goes to Boston first). Second, NO two electronic grids (the sensor array that is the basis of how the system works) are the same due to signal interference with buildings of echoes off buildings. At Woodbine, due to the fact that the standardbred barn is directly behind and outside of the clubhouse turn, NO sensor towers are around that trun from the 7/8ths pole to the 3/4ths pole on the back stretch. Also, we are on the flight path of Pearson International airport, and often when a plance is directly above during a race, the entire array is lost for a few second and no contiguous replay is then available for that contest. Another more obvious thing is the the radio transmitter is in the saddle clott and NOT on the bridle as many of the unsuccessful DRF attempts at radio tracking were done. Therefore traks is telling you were the horse's MIDSECTION is not his head. · 1018 days ago
Long weekend of barrel racing for me, stayed in the top 30 out of 270 on both of my horses, so I'm pretty proud. Not a lot of money, but oh well. Sounds like this guy romped. How many lengths did he do it by? I think he's just more explosive than Chrome and we'll see if he comes back 100% after that tough TC campaign. Still love both and glad there is bit of a rivalry coming up. Exciting!

  • UnionRagsRules · The mare is Leo and Joe Reed. But everything else is pretty much TB. She traces back to all three starters of the TB breed. So cool · 1021 days ago
Going to Pacific Classic, according to DRF.
was hardly asked. distance & surface NO PROBLEM. what a horse! starting to think he may be even in skill & talent with California Chrome.

  • LAZMANNICK · Good sleuthing Sullivan. That was a nice work and goes way back to January. In checking through my Equibase PP’s, his last 12 consecutive works have all been at Golden Gate, in a period from April 15 to June 29. However, before those GG works, on Jan 3rd and Dec. 28th, he had two 5F works at SA and then didn’t work until resuming his works at GG in April. Before the SA works, his works were at Hollywood. The point I’m trying to make with Hannah is that just because a horse works on dirt it doesn’t mean that he can run well on it in a race. A case in point is We Miss Artie, who is the favorite for the Queen’s Plate today. He works almost exclusively on dirt and has at Saratoga, PMM and CD. Some of his dirt works were pretty fast too. However, he has never won a race on dirt, but three of his four wins were in stakes races on synthetics at Keeneland, Turfway and Woodbine. His other win was when he broke his maiden at Saratoga on turf. · 1022 days ago
  • goblin · LAZ, Of note to me is that the quarter crack/abscess/foot problem (it's been described in various terms in publications and by the Hollendorfer people) occurred after the two works on dirt, and he was subsequently taken back to GG for treatment and to resume working. I can't help but wonder how his feet will respond to repeated dirt racing and/or training. I thought he looked great yesterday, and personally was not too surprised that he showed he could race well on dirt. :) · 1022 days ago
I think his fan base should be The Jungle and they should play Welcome to the Jungle when he wins. What a horse!
skipping the travers and heading to the pacific classic instead
Got a 105 Beyer for yesterdays win.
Who cares who he beat? He went in there with a lot of question marks and DOMINATED. He'll face the big guns when its time.
Hate to be the wet blanket but he still beat nothing much. Candy boy is 0 for 2 at 1 1/8 so he probably isn't a distance horse. And the rest were nobodies.

Shared Belief vs California Chrome. Who would win in a match race? They are both outstanding!
  • Mike Relva · CC · 1022 days ago
  • travel_vic · match races in the twentieth century have ONE glaring aspect for success: Get out of the gate on top, get position and then PLAY with your opponent. Every match race within a race (SS/Easy Goer, ALydar/Affirmed, Noor/Citation) has been the same way. Why do you think they made such a big deal in the Seabiscuit movie about retraining him to get out quickly?? · 1022 days ago
NEXT.......This horse is for real !!!!
NTR :) >> Hope he goes for the Bolton Challenge.
Well I guess he can run on dirt.
1 1/8th? No Problem! Dirt? No Problem! Much, much the best. Can't wait to see what else he can do!
I'm really glad he's for real.
What kind of move is this? Go 6 furlongs prep then 1 1/8th next start. I love this horse but this horse needs another prep of a mile before this kind of race. If he wins it will be on Class only. Hope he does it but not a good betting prop.
  • Eventer1999 · I'll take the "other" Hollendorfer likely to go off at 40-1... Remember Danza as the "other" Pletcher? Tonito M. is a G1 winner who prior to his dismal NY trip had never been worse than second. · 1023 days ago
  • Mary Z. · It's called late kick. Shared Belief should be able to sit off pf anything that can go this far, and take off in the stretch. Also called much the best. · 1023 days ago
Don't like the jockey change to Mike Smith
Indeed he is a champ! He might be better than Chrome.. I regret he was out for several months! He might be the triple crown winner! He is fast enough and might have the X factor!

  • Mary Z. · He can RUN. Good late kick. See it. · 1027 days ago
  • buds · I like shared belief, was one of my derby horses in 1st derby pool. Still question his dirt ability, Im sure he will be ok on dirt, but he seems to be a monster on synthetics. Id like to see this one, Hooportunity, and Honor Code all come back strong · 1027 days ago
on JUne 29, Shared Belief worked 4F at Golden Gate on Fast All Weather Track in :48.40 h finishing 7/74.
Will be headed to the Los Al Derby on July 5th per J. Hollendorfer- "He's doing good."
