marian.v.horton · He is the last full brother to Barbaro -- foaled in 2011. His name is NOT Sereno, that belongs to another horse. We don't know his name yet, but they have until February or so. Now, I thought that Calypso should have been the name of the demised full sister, but '11 La Ville Rouge still does not have an official name, although in a few of his early photos, he does look serene, so Sereno would suit him, but maybe he was just tired or closing his eyes against bright sunlight. buckpasser · I agree cocoa. Few siblings turn out to be anything. Rough Shod dammed Mocassin, Ridan and Lt. Stevens all full siblings. It is very rare. They would do better to send her to a different stallion and just accept they got BArbaro and not try and duplicate · 330 days ago ·

icyhotboo · Barbaro, while a nice horse only passed into legendary status because of tragedy. Had he remained healthy he would have been facing a superior horse in Bernardini who put up speed figures 0f 114-115 many times, Barbaro was never close to that. · 330 days ago ·
