No Nay Never returned to Europe to continue where he left off as he dominated the Group 1 Prix Morny to provide Wesley Ward with his first Group 1 winner. An undefeated two year old who was exiting a scintillating victory at Royal Ascot, No Nay Never returned to Europe with dead aim on Group 1 glory...Read More

Does he have any foals who have won a graded stakes at the end of their three year old year +?

  • Sully · In defense of the way I posted, Lady of Shamrock and Handsome Mike both won graded stakes in the 2nd half of their 3YO season. You were pretty vague in when you consider "end of their 3YO year" so I posted winners @ 4 to show there is promise there. · 326 days ago ·

  • travel_vic · I don't like the polycrap, it smells, gums up tails and throats etc., BUT since it is the surface I see everyday, I play it....I have a theory that the nature of a polytrack surface has to do MORE with the daily fluctuation in temperature and the drainage of the cushion MORE than the top surface itself, AND when it is close to wearing out, the front end bias is extraordinary.......Since about 10 tons of Jelly cord has been added here over the last two weeks, speed should NOT be to big a factor this weekend at Woodbine where just about all the races will be sprints. · 371 days ago ·

If this year's crop of Triple Crown aspirants follows the trend of the last decade, chances are good that next year's Kentucky Derby hero has made between two to three starts, has been victorious in one or two of those starts and has placed in a stakes race, possibly graded, between August and Decem...Read More

Saturday June 16 was the start of the juvenile stakes races at major tracks. Impressive sire in juveniles, but then his foals tend to start to taper out. Reminds me somewhat of Bold Ruler in his success as a sire, runner, but inability to have a colt who can go distances.
For more on the controversial sire lists published annually in US publications, see below. In yesterday’s issue of Thoroughbred Times TODAY, I wrote the following column calling for “official” sire lists from The Jockey Club. Click here to read it. The Blood-Horse editor, Eric Mitchell, addressed th...Read More
Scat Daddy, behind the strength of turf and synthetic runners, ended 2011 as the top freshman sire in America. When Scat Daddy retired to stud, Ashford Stud created an eye-opening ad for the young stallion. It stated that Scat Daddy represented a fifth generation of G1 winning two-year-olds. Scat Daddy himself had won the G1 Champagne S. Scat Daddy’s sire, Johannesburg, won four G1 races at…Read More
The two biggest juvenile races of the year in Chicago racing were run today at beautiful Arlington Park, and it seems a select few in attendance were lucky enough to know the result before the races were even run.
