I'd hate to think that Derick Smith, Michael Tabor, and John Magnier spent the kind of money on buying controlling interest of him from his Australian connection's that they did to only see him run in a handful of European G1 turf races in a single season.   • medlocke · @BrianZipse, Sarafina really looked good in the Prix Foy today. Beating Hiruno D'Amour, St Nicholas Abbey, and Nakayama Festa. As soon as the races at Longchamp ended today, Sarafina was cut to 3-1 by European odd's makers and is favorite for the Arc. Workforce is 5-1, Nathaniel is 5-1/2-1 Galikova is 6-1, and both So You Think and Reliable Man are 7-1. · 616 days ago ·

Last year, Behkabad was sent to Churchill Downs representing the Aga Khan stable in France by virtue of his automatic bid into the race he won by winning the G2 Prix Niel at Longchamp. On Sunday, stablemate Sarafina won her place in the Breeders Cup Turf field for the Aga Khan by winning the G1 Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud. Added this year as a race that the winner get's a birth into the B.C. Turf field. Sarafina is one of the best fillies in Europe, bar none. She ended last season by coming with a run from out of the clouds to finish 3rd right behind Workforce and Nakayama Festa in the Arc De Triomphe. So far this season, Sarafina finished 2nd in the G1 Prix Ganay on her seasonal debut. Immediately rebounded to win the G2 Prix Corrida against a high class field of fillies and mares. Then on Sunday, she beat the always consistent Cirrus De Aigles in the G1 Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud. I can tell you unquestionably that Sarafina is a better horse than her stablemate Behkabad is. IMO, she would have decimated last year's B.C. Turf field, and if she makes the trek to Churchill Downs this year, she'll take a world of beating in this year's B.C. Turf. TJMO.
