since when was she retired?
Will make her next start in the Hong Kong APQEII Cup at 1 1/4 miles on the Sha Tin turf on April 28th. Also making the trip is Igugu, Treasure Beach, and Eishin Flash. This year's race is stacking up to be very nice
What an amazing run this mare has had at the 2013 Dubai Carnival!! She beats South Africa's super mare, Igugu, to win the two most important races of the carnival for older fillies & mares in the G2 Cape Verdi and G2 Balanchine. Then she steps up to take on that same mare and the boys in the biggest major prep race for the Duty Free, and once again she prevails in the G1 Jebel Hatta. Then Sajjhaa caps off the Carnival by beating the best of the best 8 to 10f males & females to win the G1 Dubai Duty Free. If they gave away an MVP of the carnival this mare would certainly be at the top of the list. In my view, the only way she could be equaled or eclipsed for the top performer in Dubai in 2013 would be if Hunter's Light wins the Dubai World Cup.
What a nice mare she has matured into - looking forward to seeing if she can carry this form back to Europe
Sajjhaa over Igugu over The Apache in the Jebel Hatta..

She is the real deal, proving her Cape Verdi win no fluke. She even set a new course record in today's Balanchine. Igugu, in her first start out of SAF, could only manage 3rd today.
  • paul.nathan.946 · I thought igugu was going to be turned over by sajjhaa but i didn't expect her to be that poor. a little disappointing for racing but not for my pocket :) lol · 1338 days ago
