Granted it was only a $5000 starter allowance, but Saint Leon ran a powerful race at Hawthorne today, breaking from the gate to an early lead and never looking back. He won going away and looked like he had enough gas left in the engine to do it all over again. He's hit the board on 10 of 17 starts, 8 of those wins; definitely a horse to watch.

  • stinga · I would be cautious, Hawthornes turf is hard as a rock, and with an unpressured lead I would be cautious of any horse going gate to wire on that turf but I did like the way watershed event ran in this race. Closed well even with the lack of pace and firm turf. · 978 days ago ·
