Nearly died when a horse broke down in front of her in the Santa Anita winter meeting. She and her jockey Fernando Toro were sidlelined for a long time and John Gosden, her trainer, did a masterful job to bring her back in the fall to win the inaugural Breeders' Cup Mile (with Toro up) and set a world record.
