Reynaldothewizard has finally found his niche in Dubai. And the secret to Reynaldo's success has been coming off of conventional dirt and racing on the Tapeta surface at Meydan. Thus far, during Dubai's winter meeting just prior to the Dubai Racing Carnival, Reynaldothewizard has been one of the most dominant horses at Meydan. Beating two very tough horses from Ireland in Indian Skimmer and Green Beret in the Emirates Sky Cargo Handicap over 6f. Then he stepped up to 7f, and again blasted the field in the Visa Infinite Card Handicap. Finishing well ahead of Commander Cave and Barbecue Eddie. Reynaldothewizard has shown an incredible turn of foot in both races on the synthetic surface. I've always thought this colt was really talented. But that he perhaps needed to come off of the dirt, and maybe try turf if he was going to stay in the United States? Instead, he's been sent to Dubai and has really fallen in love with the Tapeta at Meydan. I'm sure he'll be kept in Dubai with the opening of the Carnival just days away to see how well fairs against even tougher competition coming in. If he keep's racing as well as he has in his first two handicaps at Meydan? I look for Reynaldothewizard to eventually be pointed toward the G1 Golden Shaheen on the Dubai World Cup under-card.
