  • Cardly Knot · If Secret Circle runs back to the form of his SouthWest win, he'll be hard to catch. Like many, I have doubts getting more than 9f. Sabercat going into a tough race from a lengthy layoff. Union Rags the only one w/ a first from layoff. · 72 days ago ·

How did Recless Jerry come out of the Soutwest? Is he pointing to the Rebel? Any thought about trying the Sunland or Louisiana Derby to get the earnings to make the KY Derby?
Red hot trainer Bob Baffert shipped his Kentucky Derby 2012 contenders to Arkansas on Monday and he walked away with two graded wins in both divisions of the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes. • travel_vic · Colt really gave the big choice aurprising run for his money. Thought Bejarano did a masterful job of moving his colt WIDER away from the rail so as to give him a nondistracted run to the wire. · 97 days ago ·

  • Cardly Knot · @travel_vic. That move was caused by lefthanded urging, the same move that he did in the BC JuvSprint by hitting him left handed(just 1-2x). I heard mention that SC doesn't really dig the stick. Bejarano is left handed, but rarely uses LH urging. Only see him like that w/ SC. · 96 days ago ·

It should be a great day today at Oaklawn Park, with beautiful weather, a buzz of excitement in the air, and split divisions of the one-mile, Grade 3 Southwest Stakes to double our fun. After a few more days at the Hot Springs oval, I’ve become greatly impressed once again with the way the community...Read More

Monday’s Grade 3 Southwest Stakes (division 1) has drawn a field of eleven and morning line favorite Longview Drive invades from Southern California for Jerry Hollendorfer. #5 Longview Drive (5-2) finished 3rd in the low rated G3 Delta Jackpot to end his juvenile campaign and occupied that same spot...Read More

Oaklawn Park opened its gates to a festive crowd of more than 18,000 fans last Friday at the National Park location in Hot Springs, Arkansas. And the first race was quite a statement race for apprentice rider Alex Canchari, who registered his first career victory aboard Run Mama Beare Run. By the en...Read More

  • Floridaf · I would not be surprised if they did since Now I Know is being pointed toward the major races for fillies at Oaklawn. I don't think they could avoid each other unless one of them shipped to a different track. As much as I admire On Fire Baby, I think Now I Know would come out on top. · 108 days ago ·

Calvin “Bo Bo” Borel just couldn’t resist the lure of budding three year-olds at Oaklawn Park, where he picked up the mount on Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver in 2010. • 12thCrown · Not sure how many of you frequent Oaklawn, so while there won't be a "Cougar Day" per se, there are plenty of eligible ladies and dudes hanging around the second level sports bar. Seriously though, it's an extremely social place where people do care about the horses. · 128 days ago ·
