Jusr remember Real Quiet
i don't think this horse gets as much credit as he deserves. he lost the Triple Crown by barely a NOSE. & went on to have later success also.

  • railbird33 · What was the most significant thing regarding the Belmont that year was Baffert was racing for more then triple crown imortality. VISA had posted a $5 million bonus for a TC winner. That "head bob" at the wire was very significant. · 599 days ago
  • tmallios1 · The $5 million dollar bonus was nothing compared to the win.At that time,if he would of won the race.RQ would of been syndicated for over $100 million. I think that hurt Pegram/Baffert a little more. · 599 days ago
in the case of a run for a Triple Crown, do they make the TC Trophy before the Belmont Stakes? because i was watching the 1998 replay of the Belmont Stakes, & at the trophy presentation, it looked like that trophy was up there.
Him and Victory Gallop has and amazing rilvalry in 1998 and I think it was closest Triple Crown loss ever.
