  • Trackside · I have nothing agaisnt Power Broker, but I think the Wood memorial would have been the better spot to run than the S.A. Derby. Sure, he would have to go up againnst Verrazano, but P.B. wouldn't have to deal with nearly the amount of other speed horses that he will in santa Aniat. Going 9 furlongs off a substantial layoff isnt easy for any horse, but doing it against what appears to be an unfavorable race setup is even harder.
