  • jay s. · cocoa. Do me a favor. Next time you're at the library look for a book called "A Higher Call" by Adam Makos. The book is excellent, but I'd like for you to read his introduction. He was a New York kid that loved everything WWII. In jr high he decided to type-out his own newsletter on his home printer and started handing them out. Long-story-short (too late) by the time he was in college his newsletter had grown to a 7,000 subscription magazine. When you read it, replace WWII with horse racing. BTW, the book isn't about the author, it's about a German fighter pilot that took mercy on a shot-to hell American B-17. · 426 days ago ·
