What the Nation is saying about Power World...

Glad he is back in the winners circle.
A resolute Trinniberg, dogged through the early going by Currency Swap, put away his rival in the Belmont Park stretch and went on to a 1 3/4-length victory in Saturday’s 28th running of the Grade 2, $400,000 Woody Stephens presented by VisitNassauCounty.com.Read More
Shivananda Parbhoo has leading contenders in each of the Grade 2, $400,000 sprint stakes that help comprise the Belmont undercard: Trinniberg in the seven-furlong Woody Stephens presented by VisitNassauCounty.com, and Giant Ryan in the six-furlong True North Handicap.Read More
Today's Derby contender works featured an easy four furlong breeze from 2-year-old champ Hansen. The G3 Gotham hero will return to Aqueduct for the G1 Wood Memorial on April 7. Read More
  • Wildcatter · Watch his next race "live" or the replay might be hard to find. Seems tracks/organizations are cracking down on replays of their races. Why? Makes no sense! The following is a message that has been sent out to several(that I know of) "Youtube" accounts. Seems the sport could use all the "free" promotion/exposure it could get. Here's the threatening message from Gulfstreamracing's Youtube account: "Remove all Stronach Group Copyrighted videos from your site immediately or you will be reported to YouTube Copyright Infringement, this includes any videos from Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, Golden Gate Fields, Portland Meadows, Laurel Park, Pimlico and Preakness" · 767 days ago ·

Caught behind horses with less than 300 yards to go, favored Union Rags abruptly changed course in mid-stretch and went on to an imposing 5 ¼-length victory in Saturday afternoon’s 140th running of the Grade 1, $300,000 Champagne at Belmont Park.   The Champagne victory, Union Rags’ third in as...Read More

  • brooklyn.steve · Speightscity gets my vote. I think that win was legit, and I think this race sets up nicely for him. As you pointed out, the cut back will only help. Nice breakdown of the race. · 931 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · Speight IMO is the horse for Union to watch, not alpha. He ran very big over a very tring and very slow track. For a two year old to run in a race 9f that early is different and good. Could the competition have been weak? Yes, it is a strong possibility. However, if the colt is good enough the 9f foundation he has will give him a big edge over those, like Union Rags who are stretching out. · 930 days ago ·

One year ago, maiden winner Uncle Mo notched his first stakes victory in Belmont Park’s Grade 1 Champagne en route to his triumph in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and eventual Champion 2-Year-Old Male honors.   Saturday, a solid group of similarly minded juveniles will line up for the 141st runnin...Read More

  • xMystix · As much as I love Tizway (being the son of a Tiznow), I just think he needs to prove a lot more than the Whitney and the Met Mile to be the horse to beat. Unfortunately, he is considered the horse to beat, currently, due to the older male division lacking some stars. If he wins the JCGC, then he should be merited with respect, but that's a big "IF" factor, not saying he will win the JCGC. That race is in two months time, and a lot of days inbetween for anything to happen. · 989 days ago ·

Impressive maiden winner Overdriven and seven other promising juveniles will go postward Sunday afternoon in the 97th running of the Grade 2, $150,000 Sanford, the first of three open graded stakes on Saratoga Race Course’s main track that traditionally serve as proving grounds for the nation’s top ...Read More
  • MarkRodriquez · I really like the way he breezed in the Sanford. I think he looks even more impressive than Uncle Mo at this time last year. He rated nicely down the backstretch and coasted home. Looks like he can go a distance. The Racing Form had a nice pic of him crossing the street on the way to the track. This youngster looks professional. Just hope Pletcher doesn't mess him up like he's done to his other stars. · 1005 days ago ·
