Sad news out of France this morning. 2011 Epsom Derby winner, Pour Moi, who was being backed as ante-post favorite to win this year's Prix De l' Arc De Triomphe, had been retired due to an injury that he sustained during exercise training at Chantilly on Friday morning. The career ending injury has been described as a "severe overreach to his near fore fetlock. Pour Moi will be retired to Coolmore for the 2012 breeding season.
Sorry to see him retired to stud after an injury. A real loss...
