What the Nation is saying about Points Offthebench...

It’s funny that this time of a lack of outstanding sprinters comes simultaneously with a move in the last few decades of breeding for speed. It all forces me to ask … If United States breeders are indeed ruining our racing stock domestically by breeding for speed … where are all the fast horses? Read More

  • icyhotboo · "Game On Dude saw his form deteriorate when it mattered most" nope, his form didn't deteriorate, this horse always runs the same race win or lose. He tells you what time he'll run, what internal fractions, what position he'll have, and what lane he'll be in throughout. The best part of it is, he does all this before the race, every single time he runs without deviation. That's a step up from merely being a horse for a year. How about "bettors delight" for all time award. · 191 days ago ·

  • tmallios1 · In theory Goldencents is a better horse than those being considered for the Eclipse award as a top sprinter. In Reality, judge him by his races up to 7F.That is a sprint,1 mile races are the middle distance. Regardless if he is running and winning the Cigar Mile..Other than maybe Groupie Doll,he will not be facing any sprinters in this race.So how can he be rewarded and credited with a sprint victory. Judge him by what he did in sprints. He did nothing,he lost to horses that were nothing special.Yes he was close, but bottom line he lost.Any horse during a race can have bad luck.Regardless of who wins the award, there will be controversy. There is no clear cut winner, that is not a good enough reason to try and invent one. · 238 days ago ·

RIP baby.
Nice win for him
A had ride producing back to back Grade 1 wins? Actually, no whip in the last three races. Pretty impressive.
I'll surely use him in the BC Sprint.
  • Floridaf · Very game win, and his 2nd Grade 1 in a row. He's looking like a major BC contender. · 277 days ago ·
