josephe-there must be something wrong with Pluck. I could not believe what I saw from him this year so far.Kind of sad when they never pick up their feet..Hopefully he will rebound and we will see him face That great Gold one...one step at a time..peace

Pluck ran into a pretty nice colt at Tampa Bay Downs. Lil Bit O'Fun was full of run today as he ran the final quarter in 22.2 seconds! Lil Bit O'Fun had previously defeated Stakes Winners Silver Medallion & Grant Jack. Pluck picked the wrong spot to kick off his 2011 campaign.
At 8 minutes to post, Uncle Mo is 1-9 in the Timely Writer, with $350,000 to show on him.  I hope Velazquez stays on.  
Pluck ran 4th at 2-5 in his turf allowance comeback at Tampa. 
Slow pace and short Tampa stretch left Pluck with little chance.

  • mshutty · Having visited many tracks across the US I would definitely put Tampa Bay Downs in my Top 5. Driving up to that track for the first time I didn't know what to expect. I thought that track might actually be in someone's back yard as I drove on the two lane road through a residential area to get there. Super friendly people, bright, clean, great views of the track. Great place to spend a day with the ponies. My top five tracks for atmosphere are Del Mar, Saratoga, Keeneland, Arlington Park and Tampa Bay Downs.
