What the Nation is saying about Ouija Board...

Earning her seventh Group 1 victory in spectacular fashion, Snow Fairy beat two of the best turf males in the world yesterday to take Leopardstown’s Irish Champion Stakes. Ridden by Frankie Dettori, the fantastic five-year-old mare swung into action down the stretch to collar and power past race fav...Read More

  • BrianZipse · ZATT's Star of the Week, is ... Snow Fairy! · 591 days ago ·
  • Ann Maree · Thank you for giving the nod to the overseas star, Snow Fairy! She is truly awesome and has the heart of a champion, male or female. The most exciting re-match to me will be Snow Fairy and the great German wondermare, Danedream, in the Arc on Oct. 7. They share similar "Seabiscuit-like" beginnings: Snow Fairy was bought back for $2,300 US when she failed to generate any interest at auction as a yearling; Danedream sold as a yearling at auction for about $11,300 USD (about the same as I'll Have Another as a yearling) and she now is considered the best all-time German horse ever. Both I think are smaller than average, being referred to as “diminutive”, “petite”, though I don’t know their actual heights or weights. Danedream set a record in the Arc last year; Snow Fairy set a record in the Irish Champion Stakes on Saturday. The Arc is looking like a clash of the titans, with international stars like Orfevre (Japan TC winner), Dunaden (2011 Melbourne Cup winner), possibly Camelot, but for my money, all eyes will be on Snow Fairy and Danedream to be the match of the decade! · 591 days ago ·

It’s hard to believe that we are just a few days away from thirty years of Arlington Million Day memories. I’m proud to say that I’ve been there in person for many, while the others I was sure not to miss on television. As anything in life, the ones seen in person are always just a little more memor...Read More

  • racingrooter · I'm with winplaceshow. I think Ghostzapper is the best horse of the 20th century thus far. There are some other great horses mentioned here, but GZ would have left them all eating his dirt. · 819 days ago ·
  • racingrooter · Oops, meant 21st century. I'm only 12 years behind. :-) · 819 days ago ·
Racing needs to bring its head out of the sand and into the light. The leaders of this sport need to make sure that it is not being cheapened and stand up and fight for what will improve it, rather than let others make decisions that just lead the sport deeper into oblivion.Read More

  • cpsoren121 · Right on Laura, seems like racing was most prominent in the 70's and 80's in recent memory. Let's find that magic again!! · 1040 days ago ·
  • icyhotboo · To much competition for the dollar. As far as horses this has been a great decade for some really good ones but if they keep retiring the best 3yos to stud then they have only themselves to blame. · 1040 days ago ·
Voodoo Prince, the 3-year-old first son of European and American champion mare Ouija Board, broke his maiden Friday at Haydock Park in the UK. Ouija Board's first foal, Voodoo Prince, a son of Kingmambo, won today in a one-mile maiden race at Haydock in his 2nd career start.
Despite the delays and the freezing weather, Zenyatta garnered a large crowd to say goodbye; it speaks volumes about her appeal to know that people came to stand in the cold and dark – not to see her race, just to see her, briefly – before she goes to the farm to begin her new career.  And perh...Read More
