What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Omniscient...

Omniscient seemed to get REAL good during his 4 yr. old campaign with a Beyer spike on 8-1-10. Then Asmussen followed up with a grade one effort, and a $104,000 effort in the slop. Then he laid the horse off. This horse has brought in a paycheck in every race in his 5 yr. old campaign, except for the grade 2 effort on 7-4-11. In the mile & 1/16th W. Virginia Governors handicap the horse had the lead at the 1/8th pole. Has Asmussen been saving this horse for the big day at Delta downs in the Delta mile (5th race)? Just looking at his Beyer number on 8-1-11 of 105,I wonder if this horse could run back to that if Asmussen has been saving him? Once again what does the "Nation" know about Asmussen, and the big day at Delta downs?
  • MichaelPavelick · Notice the improvement in the Beyer figures in his 4 yr. old campaign, peaking with a very nice 105 on 8-1-11 in a $142,000 race. Has this horse been just picking up a paycheck, and being saved for Asmussen's birthday weekend celebration. His Beyer numbers don't compare to last year so far. Why? His layoff could get indicate a physical issue, so that could explain. The use of front wraps on 9-2-11 & 10-1-11 races, may indicate a physical issue. Got to watch odds, and the presence of front wraps.. Post time odds dictate betting. · 190 days ago ·

  • mshutty · Garrett Gomez will make a public announcement today at Noon EST on ESPN as to which horse he has chosen to ride in the Derby. Many are throwing Advice, the winner of yesterday's Lexington Stakes at Keeneland, into the consideration set but no announcement of Advice's Derby status has been made and let's face it, the decision really comes down to Dunkirk and Pioneer of the Nile. Is there any way Gomez would pick Pioneer over Dunkirk? No chance. Despite the lack of foundation, Dunkirk is the superior horse...proven on dirt and just confirmed his brilliance with a strong work out. It's an easy decision, Dunkirk's the choice! · 1134 days ago ·
