The reason why no one looks at him is because he hasn't raced in a race above a G3 I'm not saying he is bad, I'm just saying we haven't seen his best yet...I hope.

I am happy to see that a debate has sparked over the Noosa Beach's value in comparison to the nation's top horses. I understand the skepticism from folks who want to see the Harbor the Gold gelding face stiffer competition. Unofficially, Doris and Jeff Harwood have indicated that they will provisionally nominate Noosa Beach in the BC Dirt Mile. Sdnaples: To answer your question of whether Noosa Beach is up for Horse of the Year. Why not? Maybe he's the Butler Bulldogs of college basketball. And when he gets to center stage, he will shine. Only time will tell. The one opinion I will give is that I do believe that he is better than last year's BC Dirt Mile winner Dakota Phone. For those who love him, for those who are intrigued by him, and for those who are skeptical of him. Follow him for the rest of 2011 and guarantee will all be fans, because he is one really nice horse.
