None Like Nolan. As said on his page, he had a terrible physical issue as a baby. The connections probably know he would never be the same, but he is entered in a MSW on Saturday. He disliked the turf (65 on my speed figures) but last out got a 83 on the dirt. Well-beaten in 3rd to Rock Fall, who is going to run in a sprints stakes next out at Saratoga. Maybe he'll like the added distance on the dirt? Hopefully he can show up. He was a nice juvenile prospect before that freak injury ...

  • Sullivan · Seemed to me like a horse who peaked as a 2yo and never got the chance to show it · 23 days ago
  • rafirox · No, Sullivan. He had a freak thing and was shelved for a long time. Colt was showing signs of late maturity (and closed in his first start while being very green). It is a shame. · 23 days ago
I hope he wins today, I'm not going to bet, but I hope he wins because he is a sentimental choice (same connections as Malice).

  • rafirox · On July 24th, when I met Todd Pletcher and most of his stable, he did tell me this one had a physical issue and thus was sent back to Dogwood's farm in Aiken. While I do not know what the physical issue is/was, as Mr. Pletcher never disclosed it to me, I would assume it has something to do with his growth. I was impressed with his maiden race, so I can't wait until he comes back. It could be anywhere from 3-5 months until he returns, since I don't know the extent of the "physical problem". I hope he comes back soon. Anyone have any sort of updates? He has not yet worked. I might send an email to Dogwood (or phone call) to see if he's alright/how he's progressing. I'll post any update on this thread, for anyone interested in this juvenile. · 283 days ago
  • tmallios1 · Rafi, again i ask.You say that MR. Pletcher told you he had physical issues. Then you are a first. These trainers do not mention things like that tostrangers. They are very tight lipped. If i ever owned horses and found out that a trainer was discussing physical issue s with any one but me.I would be furious he was discussing with strangers. One thing i do know about Todd, loose lips are not part of his persona. He is as careful with his words as anyone out there. · 283 days ago
Closed nicely today even tho he finished 2nd.
