@sullivan…ans. to question NO ….I'm new to the numbers and trying to learn , longtime handicapper here , hoping to add more ammo to my choices …..
Per David Grening of DRF, Noble Moon has been taken out of training due to a foot issue. He will not run in the Withers, maybe the Gotham.
  • goblin · Noble Moon galloped this A.M. after resolution of his foot problem. Going to Gotham if all remains okay per DRF/Grening. https://twitter.com/DRFGrening · 848 days ago
Can't wait to see if he can live up to the hype!
Just read where trainer Gyammati said that she might just run in the Withers and bypass the Gotham. Personally, that is a very puzzling decision should she go that way. This guy is so good, total points to qualify for the Derby should be the least of his problems. That being said, why run for $250K when you can face the same cast of charecters in the Gotham for $500K. Also at this time of the season, i would hate to see him going into the Wood Memorial off of a 2 month layoff. She would be better off allowing this big powerful colt to develop mentally and physically over the next 2 months, and run him on a 4 week schedule going forward. In my opinion Leah overraced her 2 yo filly into the ground as a 2yo, i hope she is not trying to overthink the situation with Noble Moon.

  • tmallios1 · Vic,did you just say what i thought you said. That a trainer actually has a value in the development of the horse. That they should do the logical thing and allow the horse to guide you by his or her performance. · 873 days ago
Wins the Jerome!

  • tmallios1 · Lisa, i just went back and reviewed your Derby Profile notes you worked up in September. Scary how accurate and dead on you were. Your notes said" Inherited very high speed with strong Stamina influence". Almost like you saw todays race and then made your notes.I just hope now that the profile and notations you sent to Patrick and me are as accurate. If they come anywhere near this guys. I may already have my Derby exacta Cubicle. · 875 days ago
  • Lisa111 · Long long way to go yet. Dont forget, the gate consists of twenty, and there are a few really nice ones out there yet. The Admiral, Noble Cornerstone, Flag on the Play, Honor Code, Chitu, etc. Anything can happen in 4 months but the year is off to a fantastic start. (Still waiting for Chivalrous too!) :) · 875 days ago
He showed up on the Work Tab at Belmont Park the other day. Leads me to believe that Leah is staying North with him and most likely pointing to the Jerome, this to be run at Aqueduct on jan. 4th.Talk about a horses' pedigree that screams out distance and Stamina. The great thing about this guy is,when he broke his maiden he wired the field in a hammerlock hold. An incredible combination. Natural speed and pedigree. In running a fast closing 3rd in the Nashua,he already showed me that he is a better horse than the ones that ran in the Remsen. My barometer here is Cairo Prince. If he can stay that close to Honor Code at 1 1/8th of a mile, Honor Code is good. But nowhere near the hype. Moon in the Nashua spotted Cairo about 15 lengths with a troubled start. In going 6 to 8 wide on the turn on a speed favoring track. He lost to Cairo by only 3 diminishing lengths. The only horse that i think will be a handful to Noble Moon will be All Most Famous. Famous is another with gifted Natural Speed,he has a stride that can be compared to some of the best in recent memory. Being that i have a personal connection to this horse i will not comment. Might sound like a biased opinion. But believe me,he is top 3 right now.I just wish you could hear Calvin Borels opinions aafter his first race. By the way,he is the guy who won 3 Derbys' and rode Rachel. So he has a clue about top notch 2yos and 3yos'. The West Coast, personally the Horses that impressed me the most (Bafferts Indianapolis and The Admiral) will be heard of shortly in the upcoming Triple Crown Preps. But looking at what they have shown to date , and the prospect of longer races on the horizon. Patrick Byrne and Leah Giammati have got to be grinning ear to ear.

Scratched from the Remsen. He broke out in hives Friday night.
Hey Everyone, I need your input. I am compiling a list of great two years and doing a dosage analysis to get ready for Derby Futures bet and Breeders Cup Juvenile races. Take a second to list a few of your faves and in time, I will do an in depth dosage analysis (distance limitations) on all of the colts and fillies and post it in the near future. Any that are not currently on my list will be added. Thanks in advance.
