Barbaro/Nicanor/Lentenor's pedigree screams turf, and Barbaro had a gliding motion over the turf which most horses don't have. He took three races on dirt, last one being the Kentucky Derby, to get the gliding motion back on the dirt. Nicanor isn't a Barbaro, plain and simple, but he has promise to, not dominate, but do very well on turf.
