  • EP Taylor · Horses name is Shaft of Light, by Smart Strike. excellent debut, and check out the gallop out. Sam-Son said they would not rush him to the Plate, so maybe we might see him after that. Just curious to know if you seen his race. · 368 days ago
  • travel_vic · impressive move for a firster and Jim Bannon mentioned that this one COULD make it to the Plate if things go the right way, but that is a big if. · 368 days ago

Any news on her?? She was one of my favorite horses last year and one I was most excited about this year. I was thinking last year that the Ashland might be an early season goal but that has come and gone. Anyone have any updates on her?
  • EP Taylor · Not sure either. I would have thought they would of ran her in the Ashland, but they didn't. · 410 days ago

  • tmallios1 · Enough of the trashing of Ruffianlover, give her credit, she had convictions with her picks.Being wrongis nothing.I am sure nobody here ever picked a loser.Has nothing to do with sour grapes. She is stating an opinion.I disagree that she would of been better in the dirt. But who the hell am i or anyone else to sy she was not right. Ruff you keep giving thos eopinions before the fact.As long as they are calculated and you are happy with them, that is all that matters. Not like some who post crap and then are not arounf to talk about them. · 567 days ago
I am in complete disbelief in regards to the public allowing this filly to be 5-1 currently... My Conquestadory for the win. My Conquestadory, Vorda, Clenor, Kitten Kaboodle, Chriselliam.

  • tmallios1 · Iread that snoop. He is one horse that the draw is irrelevant to.I anything it is perfect.Johnny will either have the lead turning up the backside ,or tracking like he did in the Haskell. Cloisers who drew outside of post 6 are in trouble. · 572 days ago
  • EP Taylor · My heart skipped a beat when I read your header..lol. 14 is fine, she has the goods to get it done. I can relax now..lol · 572 days ago
Looks like My Conquestadory will be in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf, where I expect her to be heavily favored.

Is there not a better feeling in the world than to discover a new 2 year old to follow who promises great things to come?

  • EP Taylor · Also, instead of pointing to the Derby or Oaks, why not go the Wesley Ward way and try for a foreign classic on turf. No Nay Never is gonna give it a shot. · 591 days ago
  • Buckpasser · In the past many top horses raced on both grass and dirt like Kelso, Swaps, Round Table, etc. Etc. I am always surprised that more horses these days don't try turf. Also just a small point about the Meadowlands and turf racing. In the negotiations that were conducted over NJ racing awhile back, Monmouth wanted to hold a meet at the Meadowlands. The TB people wanted a dirt meet, but Jeff Gural the new owner of the Meadowlands racetrack refused because he had put over 200k into changing the surface for the harness horses and rebanking the turns so all post positions had a shot to win. He did not want to make any changes to the dirt surface for the TBs or put up a railing instead of the pylons. So He and Monmouth agreed to have a turf meet instead. Also it should be noted that the main reason Monmouth wanted to hold meet at The Meadowlands at all had to do with simulcasting fees and also if the Meadowlands ever got slots, they ( Monmouth) were looking for a piece of the revenue. · 591 days ago
@Sosotricksy, I hope you watched/bet her like I told you too. What a run by this filly! Can't wait to see this one in the Breeder's Cup.
