  • davidcrone · It's pretty simple...the filly wants her head and wants to go 46 and change or 47 flat. The 48 and 4 stuff allows other horses to be close who finish stronger than she does. She doesn't have an explosive turn of foot. You have to realize, when she goes 46 and 3 a horse has to go 48 and change just to be within ten lengths. They need to stop trying to make her rate and stop taking away her greatest weapon. · 1444 days ago ·
  • humphrey · David has it correctly. If a horse will not rate well, they wil spit the bit if held back too much, · 1444 days ago ·

When nobody wanted the early lead, Alan Garcia took Swift Temper there and you could tell under the finish for the first time they would be tough, and they were. With the cagey race riding, Garcia and Swift Temper went wire-to-wire in the Delaware Handicap.Read More
Team Valor International's UNBRIDLED BELLE (Broken Vow) hadn't visited the winner's circle since delivering a 5 3/4-length trouncing in the 2008 Obeah H.
