This story just hit the front page of the Racing Post web-site: Last year's Dubai World Cup winner, Monterosso, has been scratched on the morning of the race. He was said to be lame in his left foreleg this morning, so Godolphin erred on the side of caution and withdrew him. The story can found on the front page of RacingPost.com right now.

Victoire Pisa had to come 5 or 6 wide to forge to the front early just to inject any pace at all into the race, as it was run at a terrible dottle.
