  • Capper · Orb, Normandy Invasion & Revolutionary are the only horses improving as the distances increase, on dirt. Palace Malice & Will Take Charge are my sleepers. · 358 days ago ·
  • mkstorm · Have to agree with the last comment, but will these three closers get a clean trip? Even if he skims the rail, I think Revolutionary is going to have to make an early move like he did going into the far turn in the LA Derby. I definitely think he'll be coming from the inside while Orb and Normandy will be wide coming down the stretch. It should be an exciting finish. · 357 days ago ·
Fast Derby but ran into Point Given that year.
  • kay.robinett · IIRC he was also injured while running in the Preakness. If he had been a sounder horse, who knows what he might have eventually accomplished? · 469 days ago ·

As the field turned for home in the 138th Kentucky Derby, many watching the big race undoubtedly felt as I did — that they were witnessing the birth of a superstar. Bodemeister, a three-year-old son of Empire Maker, had cut out wicked fractions — 45.39 seconds for the opening half… Read More

  • icyhotboo · I was referring to the torrid pace I expected until the weather turned now if it stays muddy I'll go with Bodemeister and Union Rags. Either I'm not seeing this race correctly or on a fast track I came up with 7 horses I felt were legitatimate to win. · 715 days ago ·

  • AnnaK · T_vic, that was a good explanation of pace. Explain Zenyatta a bit, never stalking or mid herd, almost like she had her own race in some ways. · 743 days ago ·
  • HeatherSeiden · Wonderfully said. People seem to be quick to jump on and off bandwagons based on small bits of information. I'm still very, very high on Rags. Not to mention he is one of the best looking horses around! · 741 days ago ·
