  • hoosierbred77 · I believe we have the one of the best if not the best 2 year-old colt in the country named Alumni. Broke his maiden at first time asking while equaling the track record at 5 furlongs. Has any of the top 2 year-olds in the country done that or have bettered his time? The answer is no! · 286 days ago ·

Grade 1 winner Misremembered has been retired from racing to enter stud, although owners Jill Baffert and George Jacobs haven’t determined his stud plans yet. Bob Baffert, Jill’s husband, bred and trained the 5-year-old Candy Ride ridgling. Misremembered won last year’s Santa Anita Handicap, beating...Read More

Misremembered is now decalred retired and will go to stand stud.
Given how inconsistent – and yes, weak – the division has been this year, I thought that by default, Haynesfield could be the best older male in the nation before he even made his 2011 debut in Saturday’s Westchester Stakes at Belmont Park. Well, all I can say after the Westchester is, the search fo...Read More
Questions remain until he faces Morning Line, Giant Oak
Pace makes Win Willy's race, and when his trainer, Mac Robertson, saw the fractional time for the opening half-mile of the Grade 2, $350,000 Oaklawn Handicap, it made his day."I really thought when they went in 46 and change, the way the horse had been doing, that we had the winner," said Robertson....Read More
  • ajump08 · We will here from more of Misrememered. He's probably on top of my Handicap Division right now. No real stars right now in the Division, but the likes of Giant Oak, Mission Impazible, Game On Dude, Morning Line, Duke of Mischief, and Haynesfield (now ready to start) should make for a fun year through the Stephen Foster, Whitney, and Breeders' Cup. Oh Yah, Twirling Candy may have flopped in the Big Cap, but has already romped going 9 panels and may deserve a mulligan. Sorry, I always twist a little comment into some long disscussionary topic. · 402 days ago ·

Hoping for more quickness and a confidence boost, trainer Mac Robertson has been working Jer-Mar Stable's Win Willy in blinkers including his last major breeze Sunday morning ahead of Saturday's $350,000 Oaklawn Handicap (G2), the start of Oaklawn Park's six-day Racing Festival of the South. The 5-ye...Read More
Although Bob Baffert’s request for a Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) invitation for his Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) winner Game On Dude was duly delivered by the Dubai Racing Club, the gelding will be staying in his stall at Santa Anita rather than racing for $10-million on March 26.   Baffert sa...Read More
I've read the Dubai World Cup is an option, I tend to doubt it though with a pretty short run-up of just two weeks, plus he vey well may not even get an invite.
Misremembered returned from a year off Sunday to win the $75,000 Santana Mile on the first anniversary of his victory in the Santa Anita Handicap, and the day after trainer Bob Baffert's long shot Game On Dude won this year's Big 'Cap.Sidelined with a series of ailments since March, Misremembered wa...Read More
Sunday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park features the $75,000 Santana Mile (7th race) for 4-year-olds and up traveling a flat mile on the main track. 2010 Big Cap hero Misremembered makes his first start since that effort and might need the race. Kensei flashed talent as a 3yo in 2009 and is training...Read More
Misremembered is back off of a one year layoff, and is entered in the Santana Mile Handicap at Santa Anita. I don't know why nobody said anything after the big cap about this horse. He looked liek he was going to be one of the leading older males last year.
  • ajump08 · He's very good. A much neededstar for the Classic division this year. Won Big Cap '10, and narrowly lost to Champion Blame in the '09 Clark. · 450 days ago ·

  • bigbrown2332 · Yeah I agree. Does anybody know why Baffert backed off him last year? I remember him saying that he was pointing to the Oaklawn Handicap, but then was a little light so he was gonna bring him back in a different race. · 449 days ago ·

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert got a rare grade I victory as a breeder when Misremembered held off Neko Bay by a long neck to capture the $750,000 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) March 6. • bband · Misremembered is a very solid older horse. Ran a terrific race in the Clark from a bad post, signaling what he could do in the future. With the handicap ranks lacking stars beyond Quality Road, he could win some bigger races this year. · 812 days ago ·
