Older Comments about Memory...

Unfortunately, I believe it's time to retire Memory. Today's G1 Falmouth Stakes was the second time this season that Memory has dwelt in a major G1 stakes race. The other being the G1 English 1000 Guineas at Newmarket back in May. For all the talent that Memory showed during her juvenile season in 2010, winning the Albany Stakes at Ascot and the Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket, she's just become progressively more and more difficult to handle this season. Sariska was retired last season for doing basically the same exact thing in the Yorkshire Oaks at York, and the Prix Vermeiile at Longchamp. JMO.
What a 2yr.old filly Memory is has already turned into. This filly possesses a real turn of foot. Having won her maiden at Goodwood, under a troubled trip, and still came from last with an incredible burst to win. Then she just won her first Stakes race. Having taken the Albany Stakes at Ascot in June. Today, Memory posted another big time effort at Newmarket. Winning the Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes. Again, coming with a from last to first dash in less than half a furlong. Barring any injury or unforeseen health issues. This undefeated 2yr.old daughter of Danehill Dancer should really be one to watch in next year's 1000 Guineas.
