The Great Race Place has a solid card to open the season and, moreover, wastes little time getting into downhill turf madness...Read More

  • Mike in SB · Opening day at Santa Anita has always been the start of the new racing year for me and this looks like a good card with a deep Malibu field and the best 3 year old filly My Miss Aurelia in the La Brea. But one thing Santa Anita has to do is get a safe and fair racing surface. Horses that came from off the pace were at a great disadvantage last year, I hope they have figured out a way to make it more fair to all horses , especially with the Breeders Cup there again in 2013. · 143 days ago ·

My Miss Aurelia, an overwhelming choice as Eclipse Award-winning 2-year-old filly for 2012, heads a field of seven in Wednesday’s Grade I, $300,000 La Brea Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at seven furlongs.Read More

  • mkstorm · Why run her in New York in small non-competitive fields? With the Breeders Cup at Santa Anita again, they should run her there as much as possible this year. · 144 days ago ·
