Sunday Santa Anita Park Recap – Feb 5 (5 out of 6) All five main track races were nabbed in wire-to-wire fashion. Technically, Game On Dude was a ½ length back early in his facile San Antonio triumph, but you get the picture. Two patient types and a wire job made up the three turf winners on Super B...Read More

  • medlocke · If Jerry Hollendorfer is genuinely serious about running Blind Luck against the boys in this year's Breeders Cup Classic, instead of taking her to the Ladies Classic, then I think this is a very smart decision on his part. Better to see how she'll handle 10f against the colt's in something like the Pacific Classic or the Hollywood Gold Cup. Doing that should give Hollendorfer a good sense of where his filly would stand in the Classic division. I always felt that John Shirreffs should have done the same thing with Zenyatta before her first Breeders Cup Classic run in 2009. · 667 days ago ·

  • medlocke · Tough draw for Godolphin's Skysurfers in the Godolphin Mile. He looked incredible when he beat Musir in the Firebreak Stakes and set a Meydan track record for a mile on tapeta in that race. I put him up as the most likely winner of this year's Godolphin Mile that day. But with this extremely wide P.P draw, it could certainly make thing's very difficult for Skysurfers. I'd have to say given his previous start at Meydan, and the good P.P. draw he has, keep a close eye on Conveyance in this race. JMO. · 820 days ago ·
